Canada Sweeps Gold At The Masters World Cup

Team Canada Masters Men & Women both take Gold at the 2014 ISBHF Masters World Cup in Tampa, Florida...
Masters Women's Team Canada went a perfect 4-0 in the round robin with 17 goals for and 0 against.
The Women's squad continued their streak of shutouts into the semi finals and championship game where the team defeated Slovakia in the semi finals 6-0 and Team USA - Blue 2-0 in the Gold Medal game with goals by Isabelle Aube and Sara Ross to take the inaugural Women's Masters World Cup.
Masters Men's Team Canada also went through the tournament undefeated. After going 3-0 in the round robin they defeated Greece 5-1 in the quarter finals and USA 2-1 in the semi finals with the exciting game winner being scored with less than 1 second on the clock.
This set up the championship game with the Canada - Wolfpack team from Ontario who also was undefeated going into the final match.
Canada - Wolfpack got into some penalty trouble early and Team Canada capitalized with 2 power play goals by Paolo Musto. Canada - Wolfpack came back with a shorthanded goal of their own making it 2-1 after two periods. Team Canada opened things up in the third period with Musto's third power play goal along with tallies by Jason Cormier and Mike Allaby to secure a 5-1 victory and the Men's Masters World Cup title.
