The mood in the crowd was that it was all over. However The Edge had a little surprise for all in attendance when with 7:16 left in the second period The Edge started a spree of 3 unanswered goals with the tying goalbeing scored with 0:17 left. In the second semi final the undefeated Saskatoon Teabaggers squared off vs the Winnpieg Gunnerz. The Gunnerz got themselves in some penalty trouble which the Teabaggers capitalized on with 4 powerplay goals on their way to a 5-1 victory and advancing to the championship game.
