News on the upcoming Masters World Cup
2014-04-24The ISBHF Masters in Tampa Bay Florida promises to be the largest Masters ever held. The ISBHF has confirmed teams coming from Asia, Europe, North American and the Caribbean .
Masters Team Canada GM François Chalut of Quebec has been busy contacting his players from Coast to Coast. This is important because the ISBHF Masters in Tampa Bay Florida promises to be the largest Masters ever held. The ISBHF has confirmed teams coming from Asia, Europe, North American and the Caribbean . The Men's division will have between 12-14 teams with the Women's coming in at 5 for its first ever event.
Canada will be represented by 6 teams. A National Team for both the Women and Men that will have all the provinces of the CBHA family represented. And 4 Community teams. Men's teams representing Newfoundland , Niagara and Toronto , and the Withrow Park Women from Toronto .
In preparation Team Canada GM Chalut has named some staff to Team Canada . From Manitoba he has named Rudy Leopp as Assistant Coach. He has also named veteran CBHA Player Nick Sbarra from Quebec as another Assistant Coach. Former National champion Alain Hébert of Red Lite will be trainer hoping to spread some of Golden stardust on the team. And Ben Wong from Ontario has been named to join veteran Matt Halverson from BC as the Therapist for the team.
Chalut is just finalizing the roster that has players on it from 8 provinces which could be the most provinces ever represented.
