Clay Birkett Announced As U16 Junior Team Canada General Manager

At the end of August the CBHA posted a call for applicants for U16 Junior Team Canada General Manager. The selection committee reviewed all resumes and engaged in good discussions regarding all our applicants. We were extremely pleased with each of the applicants and all the qualifications they would bring to the position and to CBHA. We thank each one for the interest and time they took to apply for the position.
Tim McKenzie Canadian Ball Hockey Association Minor Vice President stated "On behalf of the CBHA, I would like to congratulate Clay Birkett and welcome him to our Team Canada program."
Clay has lived in the Town of New Tecumseth just north of Toronto for the past 45 years. Over the last 30 years he has been passionately involved in Ball Hockey World. For the past 18 years Clay has worked within the Beeton and now New Tecumseth Extreme Ball Hockey Association. Serving several roles from Coach to General Manager for Tyke to Men’s and Women’s Divisions at the local, Provincial and National Levels. A long the way Clay has been fortunate to be part of several successful teams, make new friends, and enjoying mentor several players and coaches.
" I am very excited to take on my next role as the General Manager for the 2022 U-16 Male Junior Team Canada and represent our Country in Slovakia next year. It’s going to be an honor to work alongside all the Coaches, Players and the entire CBHA family.”
