The 2020 ISBHF Masters Men's and Women's World Ball Hockey Championships are taking place in Ceske Budejovice, in Czech Republic, from June 17th to June 21th, 2020. CBHA is currently accepting applications from individuals interested in taking on the roles of Masters Men's Team Canada and Masters Women’s Team Canada Head Coach.
The CBHA and our National Programs have won more World Championships in the history of the ISBHF than any of the other great nations we compete against. Gold has been raised 15 times by our Men's and Women's in Senior or Master’s program. In 2020, Canada is looking for two passionate Head Coaches to lead Masters Team Canada to defend and win the top world spot once again.
Criteria of Men's and Women’s Masters Team Canada Head Coach Applicants:
Applicants must be a good standing member of CBHA and its associations and have coached ball hockey teams and/or programs for a minimum of 5 years preferably with high level tournament and national experience.
Knowledge of top level male and female Masters ball hockey players from coast to coast will be an important aspect of this position and should be noted in your application. Outside of ball hockey, any work experience in organizing and/or managing people will be a strong asset.
The Head Coaches must be able to travel and be prepared to be away before, during and after the tournament dates. The Head Coaches chosen for the positions must follow all "CBHA High Performance Program" guidelines, procedures and schedules put forward to the General Manager's by the CBHA High Performance Director and CBHA Vice Presidents for Men and Women. If not followed, CBHA has the right to revoke the appointed position at any point during the planning prior to tournament travel.
The Masters Men's Team Canada Head Coach and Masters Women’s Team Canada Head Coach will be responsible for, but not limited to:
• Be available for conference calls with Masters Team Canada General Managers, CBHA High Performance Director and CBHA Men's and Women’s Vice Presidents, respectively
• Create pre-tournament training program, complete with on floor drills
• Organize assistant coaches with Masters Team Canada General Managers
• Develop practice and game strategies with General Managers
• Be a strong supervisor for the players during travel
