Womens Team Canada Athletic Therapist & Equipment Manager Positions...

The 2019 ISBHF Women's World Championships trip dates are from June 12 to 24, 2019 in Kosice, Slovakia. We are currently accepting invitations from interested, qualified and experienced individuals interested in taking on the role of ATHLETIC THERAPIST and EQUIPMENT MANAGER for Women's Team Canada.

Candidates must be able to travel and be prepared to be away for the above dates..

Athletic Therapist

Responsibilities of the Athletic Therapist:

- Compiles and maintains inventory for all supplies for the team
- Collects all supplies prior to travel within budget
- Reviews all supplied player medical history information.
- Responsible for helping to maintain player health, including prevention and care of musculoskeletal injury and coordinating care with other members of support team such as Team Doctor and/or Massage therapist.
- Set up and maintain Athletic Therapist room.
- On bench for all games.

Qualifications:

- Be competent in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in sport
- Be competent in taping/splinting techniques
- Certified as a First Responder of CPR and First Aid
- Knowledge of Ball Hockey/Ice Hockey
- Ability to travel the dates outlined
- Ability to attend pre-travel email and team conference calls/communications
- Preference to those with previous Elite Sport National or International events experience

Equipment Manager

Responsibilities of the Equipment Manager:

- Compiles and maintains inventory for all team equipment for the team
- Collects all equipment supplies prior to travel within budget
- Minor repair as required of player equipment during trip.
- Sets up and maintains team dressing room
- Responsible for all team water bottles
- On team bench during games
- Assist staff with pre game snack/fruit table prior to games

Qualifications:

- Experience with minor repair of player/goalie equipment
- Experience laying out team dressing rooms in a clean and orderly manner
- Experience with previous Elite Sport National or International events
- Knowledge of Ball Hockey/Ice Hockey.
- Ability to attend and take part in pre-travel email and conference call communications.
