CBHA is proud to announce the coaching staff for Mens Team Canada...
Men's Team Canada is proud to announce that Ian Moores will be returning as Head Coach for the 2019 ISBHF World Championships in Kosice, Slovakia. We are also pleased to announce that Alex Bovoletis has been selected as Assistant Coach.
Ian and Alex bring a wealth of National and International experience - each having coached several times at the Men's A Canadian Nationals and at the ISBHF World Championships.
Ian is the long time Head Coach of the powerhouse Newfoundland Black Horse - 2010 National Champions and perennial medalists. He was also behind the Team Canada bench at the 2011, 2013, and 2017 World Championships.
Alex is the current Head Coach of Ontario Premier finalists Richmond Hill Falcons and was the Head Coach of the Gold Medal winning Team Canada Wolfpak at the 2016 ISBHF World Masters Championships.
With this dynamic duo leading the way, Men's Team Canada is poised to bring home Gold for the first time since 2007.
Ian Moores states "I am honoured to be chosen as the Head Coach of Men's Team Canada for the second time. The team's General Manager Daniel Medeiros has done a fabulous job choosing a great staff and roster. I look forward to the opportunity in front of us and feel confident we have the right pieces in place to bring the Championship back home next summer."
Alex Bovoletis added "I feel proud to wear the maple leaf and represent Team Canada at the highest level of ball hockey competition. It is a privilege to be part of the CBHA and compete at the ISBHF World Championships. I look forward to working with the staff and players to achieve the ultimate success - Gold."
