Welcome to the CBHA Junior Team Canada program and best of luck this summer in Přerov, Czech Republic!


Debbie Stark
General Manager
Debbie comes to the U20 Women JTC program with a wealth of information, assertiveness and achievements. She not only re-established and was the convener of the New Techumseth Ball Hockey League (NTBHL) women’s program for 15 years but was the main force of developing a Masters Women's league within the NTBHL. She has been instrumental in organizing girls and women to attend such competitions as Nationals in Vancouver and Winnipeg as well as internationally coordinating women’s teams for the Masters World's in Alberta and Bermuda (Fall 2018). At a provincial level, Debbie is also the volunteer Vice President of the Women's Division of the Ontario Ball Hockey Federation (OBHF). Debbie’s dedication to the sport and to ensuring female athletes have an opportunity to participate at the provincial, national and world stage is a driving force that ignites her passion for the game. She is so excited to be part of the first ever CBHA U20 Women’s JTC program! 


Shaun Gannon
Head Coach
Shaun resides in Beeton, Ontario and has been playing, coaching and organizing high level hockey and ball hockey for 20 years. He has coached women for the past 6 years at the provincial and National level, culminating in a Women’s A National Gold medal in 2017.  As well as playing and coaching at the Provincial and National levels, Shaun represented Canada at the first Masters World Cup in 2010 where his team, Canada 2, won Bronze.  He is thrilled and honoured to have the opportunity to return to the world stage coaching these talented young athletes.
 
Shaun’s philosophy is “we do it as a team”.  He is committed to helping teams succeed with a relentless work ethic, always giving your best, while being positive and supportive of each other. His goal is to help make this rare opportunity a lasting memory for the team, by most importantly achieving a Gold Medal. Shaun is passionate about the sport, coaching and helping teams achieve.  "Being selected as the inaugural Head Coach for the U20 Women JTC is a great honour and I am grateful for the immense support of my family, players and the ball hockey community."


Chantal Larocque
Assistant Coach
Chantal resides in Winnipeg, Manitoba and has been playing ice hockey since she was 4 years old and ball hockey since 2010 as a member of the Manitoba Women’s Ball Hockey National Team. Chantal has competed at CBHA Nationals for Manitoba since 2010 and was the team captain from 2014-2016.  At the international level she played for Canada as a member of the CBHA Women’s Team Canada program, winning gold in 2013 and 2015.  From a coaching perspective, Chantal has extensive experience and qualifications coaching both female and male athletes, most recently as the head coach of AAA Female Midget ice hockey teams (Interlake Lightening and Eastman Selects) from 2012 to 2017. Chantal is honoured to be part of the first ever U20 Women’s JTC Program and working together to win. “I am so excited to be selected as one of the Assistant Coaches for the U20 girls team. Thank you so much for the opportunity, now let’s go get us a Gold medal!


Giuliana Pallotta
Assistant Coach
Giuliana has been playing both ice and ball hockey for the majority of her life. Throughout her career she has played in numerous Provincial championships and two National championships for the New Tecumseth Xtreme based in Ontario. Last summer was memorable one for Giuliana as her team won gold at both Provincials and Nationals. That same summer she was also fortunate enough to represent Canada on the international stage in Pardubice, Czech Republic, where she won Bronze. This was an extremely rewarding experience and one she had always dreamed of.
 
Giuliana truly believes in growing the game of ball hockey and is excited to share this passion with young women playing this great sport. “It is an honour to be selected to be part of the coaching staff for the inaugural U20 Women’s Junior Team Canada team: I am motivated to help promote and grow this game at the Provincial, National, and hopefully one day Olympic level.”


Elizabeth Pollock, Bsc,H.K, DOMP
Athletic Therapist
Elizabeth has been working in rehabilitation as a Kinesiologist and more recently a Manual Osteopath. She is passionate about educating on how to lead a healthier lifestyle and live pain free. She has a strong background in active therapy and currently works with professional and amateur athletes in the OHL, AHL, NHL, NLL and NBA. In her spare time Liz enjoys playing ball hockey and is looking very forward to working with the U20 women that will be going for GOLD in Přerov, Czech Republic this summer
