Team Canada Ball Hockey has a long and storied tradition of success. In 2017 our goal is GOLD! 

In order to prepare the 25 best players from various centres in Canada for their travel and the upcoming 2017 ISBHF world tournament, we are looking for experienced physiotherapists and equipment mangers. Preferably, the chosen candidates should have a hockey background and will need to be available for travel from May 30 to June 12,2017. This is not a paid position. Your travel to and from Europe, apparel and some other costs are covered. This will be discussed in more detail with your general manager.
 

Responsibilities of the Physiotherapist:
• Compiles and maintains inventory for all supplies for the team.
• Collects all supplies prior to travel within budget.
• Review all supplied player medical history information.
• Responsible for helping to maintain player health, including prevention and care of musculoskeletal injury. 
• Outline an EAP for on site use.
• Set up and maintain physiotherapy rooms at training camp and tournament in a proper Team Canada manner.
• Assist when possible the EM with water and healthy snacks.
• Part of support staff supervision of players on and off floor, including sightseeing outings.
• Supports the team bench for pre-tournament camp and tournament games.

Qualifications / Requirements:
• Be competent in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries in sport.
• Be competent in taping, splinting techniques.
• Certified as a First Responder or CPR and First Aid. 
• Laying out and responsible for physiotherapy room in a clean and orderly Team Canada manner. 
• Knowledge of hockey.
• Available and able to travel during the tournament dates outlined above.
• Available and able to attend conference calls and other media  communications.
 

Responsibilities of the Equipment Manager:
• Compiles and maintains inventory for all equipment for the team.
• Collects all equipment supplies prior to travel within budget.
• Tests and makes minor repairs to all players equipment prior to and during the 2017 world tournament.
• Coordinates player stick travel.
• Set up and maintain team dressing rooms at training camp and tournament in a proper Team Canada manner.
• Provides water and healthy snacks.
• Part of support staff supervision of players on and off floor, including sightseeing outings.
• Supports the team bench for pre-tournament camp and tournament games.

Qualifications/Requirements:
• Experience with all types of player/goalie equipment.
• Organizes team dressing room in a clean and orderly Team Canada manner.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of ball hockey.
• Available and able to travel the tournament dates outlined above.
• Ability to attend teleconference calls and participate in other media communications.
