The CBHA sends Junior Team Canada to the UK for ISBHF World Championships in 2016! Help us remove the financial barriers for our athletes.
The Canadian Ball Hockey Association (CBHA) will be sending sixty-six of our most promising ball hockey athletes to compete in the 2016 ISBHF World Championships in Sheffield, UK which will be held July 6th to 12th, 2016.
These athletes are the future of our sport, and this is a proud moment for each of them. They have been hand-selected to make up Junior Team Canada not only for their sporting skill, but also because they each have shown that they embody the core values of our Organization – integrity, a relentless work ethic, perseverance, humility in victory and respect in sport.
While the cost of sending our athletes internationally is partially-subsidized by the CBHA, each athlete is tasked to finance the remainder of their trip to the cost of approximately $3,000. The CBHA does not receive any Government funding, and while we undertake multiple fundraising initiatives, financial barriers still exist and in some cases, prevent talented athletes from competing at an elite level.
By using the fundraising platform, FlipGive, the CBHA hopes to raise $5,000 for Junior Team Canada by offering our membership, plus their friends and family the ability to shop online for popular brands like Nike, Anthropologie, Shop.ca, Columbia, Under Armour, Starbucks, BioSteel, ALDO, and more. Up to 50% cash back will then be given to Junior Team Canada to go directly toward their costs.
