Be A Part Of The Nationals Action - Starts Next Week in Ottawa!

2015-08-07

With 2 competition floors, 72 games, 144 player awards, a social media campaign, a supplier expo, discounted tickets and an orange Weber BBQ up for grabs, the 2015 CBHA National Championships in Ottawa, ON are shaping up to be an event not to be missed - for athletes and spectators alike!

What would any sport be with its fans, followers, families and friends? This years CBHA National Ball Hockey Championships promises to deliver a fantastic experience for not just the athletes, but those that support them.

Top Men’s, Women’s and Master's players from BC, AB, SK, MB, ON, QC, NB and NF will converge in Ottawa in record numbers next week for the 2015 Canadian Ball Hockey Association's National Championships.

The CBHA wants to engage with both athletes and fans and is encouraging those that come along to Nationals to share their photos on Twitter with hashtags that support the event, and two of the CBHA's core values - respect in sport, and passion for ball hockey!

Follow on Twitter at @CanBallHockey (EN) and @HockeyBalleCan (FR) and tag images with #RespectAllFearNone #WeAreBallHockey #NationalBallHockey

Aiming to engage spectators and place the CBHA player membership face-to-face with the suppliers and manufacturers of ball hockey equipment, the event organizers of the 2015 CBHA National Championships will also be rolling out a product exhibition at the event, called The Marketplace.

“Scheduled for the final days of competition when footfall is heaviest, we hope that The Marketplace concept will be an exciting non-sport value-add to athletes and spectators alike,” says Holly Stehr, Coordinator of Marketing for the CBHA. “The CBHA recognizes that it can only be positive for us to provide a forum that helps our partners and suppliers build and strengthen their trade relationships, introduces new brands breaking into the ball hockey market and perhaps most critically, allows players to get their hands on products and equipment normally available to them only online. It makes absolute sense to deliver this experience to our members for the first time at this year’s Nationals.”.

The Marketplace will be located in the entrance lobby at the Jim Durrell Centre from 13-15th of August. Stay tuned for the confirmed list of suppliers, and email Holly Stehr if your organization would like to discuss booth space.

And arguably perhaps the highlight of the 2015 CBHA National Championships will be that one incredibly lucky spectator will take home a brand new Weber gas grill barbeque – in orange. Orange? Naturally! #OrangeForBallHockey... and there's another hashtag for you. Extra points if you use it...
