In a rarely occurring period of public closure at the host venue - the world-class Jim Durrell Recreation Centre - the CBHA has secured sole access and will utilize it to host the 2015 Nationals event from 10-15th of August, 2015.

Says Tournament Director and CBHA President, Shelley Callaghan, “We couldn’t be more fortunate to have secured this venue for Nationals. With competition commencing in less than two weeks, we are well into our planning to make sure that we are making the best use of the space – from the carpark to the lobby to the field of play. The 2015 CBHA National Championships will hopefully be a landmark event that showcases our sport, and that delivers value not just to the competing athletes, but also to those who come along to watch.”

In an effort to keep costs down for spectators, the CBHA is offering advance purchase spectator passes via the online CBHA store at http://tcballhockey.com/shop. A $20 ‘weekly’ pass give unrestricted repeat entry to the ticketholder for the full six days of competition. Discounted day passes are priced at $5 online. A receipt print out and photo ID will be required at the door for validation. Regular priced tickets can be purchased at the door in cash for $7 per day or $25 per week.

Aiming to engage spectators and place the CBHA player membership face-to-face with the suppliers and manufacturers of ball hockey equipment, the event organizers of the 2015 CBHA National Championships will also be rolling out a product exhibition at the event, called The Marketplace.

“Scheduled for the final days of competition when footfall is heaviest, we hope that The Marketplace concept will be an exciting non-sport value-add to athletes and spectators alike,” says Holly Stehr, Coordinator of Marketing for the CBHA. “The CBHA recognizes that it can only be positive for us to provide a forum that helps our partners and suppliers build and strengthen their trade relationships, introduces new brands breaking into the ball hockey market and perhaps most critically, allows players to get their hands on products and equipment normally available to them only online. It makes absolute sense to deliver this experience to our members for the first time at this year’s Nationals.”.

The Marketplace will be located in the entrance lobby at the Jim Durrell Centre from 13-15th of August. Stay tuned for the confirmed list of suppliers, and email Holly Stehr if your organization would like to discuss booth space.

And arguably perhaps the highlight of the 2015 CBHA National Championships will be that one incredibly lucky player from either the winning Mens, Womens or Masters teams will take home a brand new Weber gas grill barbeque – in orange. Orange? Naturally! #OrangeForBallHockey
