Team Canada Logistics Coordinator - two year position (2015 – 2016).  

 

Responsibilities of the Team Canada Logistics Coordinator:

 

Overseeing the overall logistics of the Women's Team Canada Program; Men's Team Canada Program; Junior Team Canada (U16; U18; U20); Masters Team Canada (Men and Women); and supporting Other teams attending ISBHF Championships (e.g. Euro Cups) to;
- Ensure medical and therapeutic staff have adequate supplies and supports.

- Coordinate travel and accommodation for players and staff in partnership with the CBHA Administrator and Team Canada GMs.

- Develop standard player, parent and coaching packages for all Team Canada programs in coordination with the Team Canada GMs.

- Work with the and Team Canada GMs, CBHA Administrator and CBHA Marketing, Communications and Sponsorship Coordinator to develop designs and order Team uniforms/apparel.
 

Work with the CBHA HP Director, CBHA Marketing, Communications and Sponsorship Coordinator and the Junior, Women’s and Men’s Team Canada GMs (Adult and Masters) to find ways to unify the programs in the following ways:

- Examine options to save money and resources through coordination.

- Develop coordinated sponsorship strategies and where possible ensure sponsorship opportunities are spilt equally between the programs.

- Ensure teams have similar jerseys to create a brand for Canada and the CBHA
 

In coordination with the CBHA HP Director and Team Canada GMs develop team budgets for approval by the CBHA BOD.

Oversee the management of team budgets (ensuring expenses are on-track) and report back to the CBHA HP Director and team Canada GMs on a regular basis around progress.

With support from the CBHA Treasurer, ensure proper signing authorities are in place for each Team Canada program.

Oversee Team Canada and international club tournament applications in cooperation with the CBHA HP Director and Team Canada GMs.

Develop and present post event logistical reports to the CBHA HP Director.

Work with CBHA HP Director and Team Canada GMs to ensure full evaluations with Team Canada players and staff are conducted after each event.

Participate as part of the Canadian delegation at Junior and Adult World Championships.

Report Directly to the CBHA HP Director.

 

Qualifications:

- Membership as a player, coach or volunteer in a CBHA sanctioned Provincial association.
- Experience managing elite level teams at the provincial, regional, national or international level including the development of team packages, itineraries, meal plans, etc.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and networking skills.
- Strong accounting and financial reporting skills.
- Good knowledge of the English language; French is an asset.
- Experience working in team environment.
- Experience chairing or sitting on Committees or Boards.
- Experience with graphic design, marketing and sponsorship is an asset.

- Reimbursement of travel costs and per diems according to CBHA guidelines plus a budget for managing Team Canada logistical activities (telephone, travel, printing, etc.).
