The Canadian Ball Hockey Association’s (CBHA) High Performance (HP) program is seeking two passionate and skilled individuals to serve as General Managers of the CBHA’s Master Men’s and Women’s programs. If you have the drive to lead a National team and program to victory, while adhering to our Canadian pedigree in Hockey and our HP Core Values, please see the opportunity below.
The 2018 International Street and Ball Hockey Federation (ISBHF) World Masters Championships are taking place in the fall of 2018 in the USA. The CBHA is currently accepting applications from organized individuals interested in taking on the role of Women’s and Men’s Masters Team Canada General Manager.
Criteria of Team Canada General Manager Applicants:
General Managers must be able to travel and be prepared to be away before, during and after the tournament dates. The GM chosen for the position must follow all “CBHA High Performance Program” core values and schedules put forward to the General Managers by the CBHA HP Director.

The CBHA hosts three annual National Championships. The 2018 Championships are as follows:
National Men's B,C,D and Ladies B - St. John's, NL - July 20-23
Junior Nationals - Kitchener, Ontario - July 27 - July 30
National Men's and Ladies 'A' and Masters - St. John, New Brunswick - August 7-13

- Applicants must be a member in good standing with the CBHA and provincial affiliate
- History within organized ball hockey teams and/or programs for a minimum of 5 years preferably with high level tournament experience
- Demonstrated administrative and leadership skills
- Able to fulfil the time commitment necessary for role
- Strong organizational and/or management experience
General Managers must be able to travel and be prepared to be away before, during and after the tournament dates. The GM chosen for the position must follow all “CBHA High Performance Program” core values and schedules put forward to the General Managers by the CBHA HP Director.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate process for scouting and selection of players in concert with HP Coordinator
- Adhere to HP Core Values in sync with protocol and team systems
- Report Directly to the HP Coordinator
- Liaise and report National team progress with CBHA Council for regulatory points, and update of selection process and program progress
- Participate in conference calls with the CBHA HP Adult Director and CBHA Executive Director to plan for budget and organize logistics.
- Participate in relative CBHA Council conference calls.
- Budget is the responsibility of GM to maintain, and work with players to attain best cost point possible and staff required to attain Gold.
- Responsible for ongoing communications with Team Canada members regarding payments for travel and accommodations, etc., as per the budget and in synergy with CBHA administration
- Help select and supervise all coaching and support staff
- Supply pre and post tournament reports to the HP Adult Director for presentation to the CBHA Board
- Liaise with CBHA Executive Director to accrue and pursue any sponsorship opportunities that are available for the program
