In Memoriam - Robert Mentis

2014-09-04

Robert Mentis 1964-2014

The Canadian Ball Hockey Association would like to express its deepest sorrow over the passing of Robert Mentis in August.

Robert was an important part of the famous Brampton Midnight Express, which he’s been a member of since its inception in 1996, year where they won their first National Championship in Montréal, QC. Over the years, he went on to win a total of 7 National Championships with Midnight Express, the powerhouse of ball hockey in the 90’s.

In 2001, Robert was selected to play on Team Canada, and with him our national team won gold at the ISBHF World Championships in Toronto, ON.

We would like to take this opportunity to offer our deepest condolences to his family & close friends and teammates.

He was known to be a gentleman both on and off the floor and will be greatly missed.
